The Nature of Things invites you into a slower, more spacious way of being. Days unfold with gentle yoga, meditation, creative practice, nourishing meals, and time outside exploring Algonquin Park.

Through Janeva's Sound Meditation Training with Kiko Pace, a recent artist residency at Gibraltar Point Centre for the Arts on Toronto Island, and a 10-Day Vipassana retreat, she has solidified a foundation of knowledge around the practices of stillness, deep listening, creative exploration and cultivating space for what emerges in the quiet.

What To Expect

  • Move Light: Begin each morning with mindful movement: slow flow, Yin, breathwork, Qi Gong and Kriya yoga
  • Ease: End each day feeling restored with Yin + restorative yoga, meditation, and yogā nidrā
  • Silence + Stillness: Settle into intentional periods of quiet for observation, and reflection
  • Creativity + Play: Follow your curiosity through guided journalling, drawing, writing, dreaming, and other simple creative prompts
  • Sound + Deep Listening: Sink into a sound bath and dream + rest to the meditative and ambient textures of Janeva’s collection of sound meditation instruments and curated playlists
  • Winter Nature: Spend time among the snowy forests, trails, and frozen landscapes of Algonquin Park
  • Nourishment: Enjoy three hearty, seasonally inspired meals each day, thoughtfully prepared to keep you warm, grounded, and well-fed
  • Space to Do Less: Leave room for the things that don't fit neatly into an itinerary: reading, napping, walking, making something, staring out a window, having tea, talking with someone, laughter, and sweet nothings
