• Full Body Tune-Up

    Saturday, September 23, 2 - 4pm

A juicy 2-hour mobility and self-massage workshop that will leave you floating on a cloud.

We use CARs (Controlled Articular Rotations,) which are circular rotational movements of the joints, to boost circulation and passive flexibility and allow us to go deeper in the massage-induced release that follows with each body part. Moving from head to toe, utilizing a strap and massage ball as we go, to find activation of the joints, lubrication of the synovial fluid and finally, alleviation of stress and tension.

This event also offers tangible take-homes that you can utilize every day to keep your joints healthy and injury-free. Releasing, nourishing, it’s a full-body tune-up!

Patricia Dominski is an inaugural Good Space instructor and we are delighted to be offering this workshop that’s been so well received at her other studios.

No yoga experience needed – all levels welcome.

  • Bun in the Oven

Bun in the Oven is a 4-week in-studio prenatal wellness series that aims to prepare pregnant folks for labour, birth and postpartum through movement, visualization, breath work and childbirth education.

Each 75-minute session will build on the one prior. The first session will set the foundations of our practice as we cultivate a greater sense of body-mind awareness in preparation for labour and birth. Participants will have the opportunity to slow down, tune out the noise and engage with gentle movement and asana practices to lower stress, promote nervous system regulation and connection to baby and self.

Throughout the following weeks participants will learn about various exercises to encourage core muscle connection and release, with a specific focus on the pelvic floor and diaphragm. We will explore ways to connect to the rhythms of the moving body that aid in labour and move into restorative shapes that encourage rest, grounding and a sense of surrender.

Sound meditation tools will be incorporated throughout the sessions. The group will co-create a container of care and rest that centres the body, mind and spirit of the pregnant body. Each session will include moments for short discussions to encourage community dialogue and connection with other pregnant folks, as well as time before and after class. Facilitated by birth doula, somatic movement educator and Masters of Social Work student, Mary-Dora.
