Good Night
Sunday, November 23 @ 6:30—8:00pm
Join us for 90-minutes of ultimate chill in a 3-part workshop led by Jaimée Horn that invites us to gradually unwind, realign and clarify. Minimum movement, maximum rest.
We first enter the practice by tapping into the physical sensations present in the body through yin yoga, softening into deliberate stillness and challenging our capacity to yield. Each posture intends to target our connective tissues (think: bones, ligaments, fascia and lymph) and is held for 2-5 minutes each, offering an engaging compliment to dynamic movement practices as a means for grounding.
Here is where we gradually shift from physical sensation towards deeper relaxation. Our yin practice primes us to further deepen through restorative yoga — gentler, opening postures that are designed to promote mental clarity, healing and down-regulation. These shapes are held for 5-10 minutes, offering us more space and time to slow down and feel maximally supported.
Our final layer of rest is through yoga nidrā: a guided, conscious nap that leaves us feeling clear and centred — ideal for those experiencing burn out, or anyone that needs maximum restoration in the rest department. This practice is often done lying down or any other posture you feel more comfortable in.As we prioritize rest and recognize the potency that stillness has to offer, we acquire a greater sense of self and can show up as ourselves more fully; equipped with embodied tools and practices for deep, meaningful rest.
